1.The main characteristics of BAW air-actuated performer
BAW air-actuated performer is divided into double-action and single-action (spring reset), with two split cylinders, great output torque, and nimble and stable action; the piston rod is plated with hard chrome, with very good abrasion-resistance; there are oil-free lubricating bearings or guide rings among all the slide parts to reduce friction coefficient and prolong the using time. The C-curve output torque of BAW air-actuated performer is more suitable for ball valve and butterfly valve with large aperture.

4.Selection, installation, adjustment and maintenance of performer
When using the BAW air-actuated performer, first determine the torque of valve and consider pipe medium: for the clean and friction-free lubricating medium, the safety value increases 20%; for steam or non-lubricating medium, the safety value increases 25%; for the non-lubricating dry air medium, the safety value increases 60%; for the non-lubricating powder medium transferred by gas, the safety value increases 100%. And then according to the working pressure of air source, check the torque form of double-action or single-action for getting the exact performer model.
The correct installations of air-actuated performer and valve will directly affect the safe operation and using life of performer. Reasonable installation is the guarantee of proper alignment of the performer’s spindle and valve stem. Before installing the performer and valve, the torque of the valve should be measured, which can not exceed the torque required. After installation, the air-actuated performer and valve should be adjusted at the same time. Close the double-beat drop valve, (no double-beat drop valve if no hand control mechanism), and give the rated sealing pressure to valve. The air source pressure of performer is 0.4~0.7Mpa or according to the user’s requirement. Inlet gas to two air intakes of air-actuated performer with the switchover method, observe the opening and closing conditions of the air-actuated valve, the valve should not have the phenomenon of stopping or creeping, should open or close sensively. The test should be repeated for several times. For the air-actuated performer with solenoid valve, the adjustment with hand priming device should be done first (red button of solenoid valve), then it can be adjusted under power supply. When using the hand control mechanism to operate, the gas source should stop first, the double-beat drop valve should be opened, then the hand control mechanism can be adjusted. When using the gas source to operate, the turbine and turbine rod of hand control mechanism should be separated, that is to turn the small handle to the automatic position. Air-actuated performer is an on-the-spot instrument, so should be maintained regularly. The gas source of performer should keep dry and clean, the water-proof and blowdown treatments should be done regularly for the air filter which is fit to the performer, so as not to get into the double-beat drop valve and performer to avoid the entry of water or dirt to solenoid valve and performer so as to affect normal work. Under normal use, the performer should be checked once every six months and repaired once every year.
5.The function and usage of performer and accessories
Double-action air-actuated performer: two-position control to the opening and closing of valve
Spring reset model: when electric circuit or gas circuit is shut off or has some breakdowns, valve opens or closes automatically.
Single-electric-control solenoid valve: valve opens or closes under power supply, and valve closes or opens when power failure (explosion-proof type can be provided).
Double-electric-control solenoid valve: valve opens when one coil is electrified and valve closes when another coil is electrified, with memory function (explosion-proof type can be provided).
Limit switch reply device: remotely transfer the On or Off position signal of valve (explosion-proof type can be provided).
Electric positioner: according to the pneumatic signal (standard 4~20mA), adjust and control the medium flow of valve (explosion-proof type can be provided).
Air-actuated positioner: according to the pneumatic signal (standard 0.02~0.1Mpa), adjust and control the medium flow of valve.
Electric converter: convert the current signal into pneumatic signal, used together with air-actuated positioner (explosion-proof type can be provided).
Triplex parts for air source treatment: including air relief valve, filter and oil fog device, lubricating the pressure-stabilizing, cleaning and moving parts of air source.
Hand control mechanism: operating by hand if automatic control is abnormal.

Air-actuated valve is a complex automatically-control instrument, composed of many kinds of air-actuated elements, a user can choose the following accessories according to his control requirement and indicate in the contract .
